Certified Auriculotherapist
Registered Nurse

Lois Grow is a licensed acupuncturist and registered nurse who assists clients interested in improving their overall health and well-being by combining Eastern and Western medical modalities. She provides acupuncture treatments to compliment conventional medical care and can assist clients in “demystifying” Western medical diagnoses and treatment plans.

Lois earned a Master’s degree in acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA, where she studied Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture. She is a board certified acupuncturist and a licensed RN in the state of Massachusetts and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified in Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture). Lois earned a degree in Nursing from Villanova University and worked for 19 years as a nurse in critical care and cardiac rehabilitation. She served roles as a nurse manager and developed and implemented teaching plans for both RNs and patients.

After receiving acupuncture during cancer treatments, Lois became intrigued with the benefits of alternative medicine. She found it to be an extremely effective therapy that allowed her to reduce medication, relieve pain and lessen stress. As a result, she went back to school and became a licensed acupuncturist. Lois has devoted both her personal and professional life in the pursuit of tools, information, and other resources to assist patients and their families with learning how to more effectively cope with health challenges.

Having been on both sides of the health care spectrum as a patient and a provider, Lois passionately believes in the healing power of treating each client as an individual, taking the time to listen intently to their needs and concerns while also addressing their personal health care goals. Besides providing acupuncture treatments she is also able to provide education, inspiration, practical transformational tools, and be a conduit to medical experts in the service of people who are facing the possibility of a life threatening disease, people who are dealing with disease, and the family members of those who are afflicted.

Lois has treated a wide spectrum of medical issues with acupuncture. Her special areas of interest are in assisting patients undergoing cancer treatments, symptoms related to perimenopause/menopause, anxiety, depression, and stroke rehabilitation. She has also had excellent results treating orthopedic problems, back pain and sciatica, chronic pain, migraines, GI problems, along with a variety of other conditions.
